The baby turned 1 on Friday. I neglected blogging during the past week to get gifts, cake and party all ready for him and his guests. Part of that was finishing the blanket I was working on for the Inspired by Nature KAL. Remember the inspiration:
I made this:
It’s a boyish baby blanket knit log-cabin using the directions in Mason*Dixon Knitting. The blanket is about 30 inches square and knit from 6 skeins of Reynold’s Cabana on size 10 straights. I planned on moving from my Boyle metal straights to my Denise interchangables when the blanket got bigger, but I never needed to. Well, except that the metal needles make my husbands teeth hurt when he has to listen to me knit.
I finished it yesterday only an hour or so before his party started. Here’s another picture of it:
I’m please with the results. I promise you pictures of his cake and toy box soon.
