I actually told hubby this evening that I was going to go upstairs, put on my PJ’s, and come back down to sit on the couch and feel sorry for myself for a while. My pity party was interrupted before it even got started by a phone call from my friend Amy, and the first thing she said was, “You don’t sound so good…” It’s amazing to me how God provides! I needed that phone call.
I don’t feel very good. I’m not getting much done these days. Hence the lack of posting. Even if I did have something to post about, I don’t have the energy to take photos and get them downloaded and up on the blog. I’ve basically had strep throat for over a month. I started my third course of antibiotics today. Between the drugs and the infection, I’m shot. I get better while I’m medicated, but 48 hours after I finish the pills, the sore throat comes back.
The current theory is that maybe the baby is the carrier. It’s about the only explanation that makes sense, but I don’t really like it. While it’s highly unlikely, it is apparently possible. And it will mean that I have to give antibiotics to my not quite three month old kiddo. He’s getting swabbed tomorrow afternoon. And I’ll keep you posted.
The good news is that all this illness has given me permission to spend the boys’ collective nap times on the couch knitting. The Hoover blanket was just over 31 inches at last check. That means I have slightly less than 2 inches of double knit left before I can cut the number of stitches on my needles almost in half and finish in garter stitch.
Oh, did I say nap time? That might be a bit of a misnomer these days at our house. The toddler is on a bit of a napping strike. But I’ll save that for another day. I’m going to bed in hopes of waking and feeling much better.
