The naked truth

No five minutes after hubby left for work this morning the toddler stripped down to socks and a diaper, leaving this pile on the floor. Turns out that clothing is optional at our house for the time being. I’m just glad that he chose to wear a diaper. For some reason, though, the newfound nakedness was accompanied by a horrific number of tantrums about the silliest and tiniest things. The little guy was generally a tortured soul today.
A visit to the pediatrician did not solve the mysterious reoccurring strep infection. Both of the boys tested negative. The antibiotic I am currently taking is not working as quickly as I would like either. I am still in enough throat pain that it is hurting in my ears when I swallow.
Provided that I feel well enough for it, tomorrow I will be cleaning our house very thoroughly. I figure that if the bug isn’t coming from the boys, maybe it’s the tub or the kitchen somehow. We’ll get clean sheets and towels, new toothbrushes, and a complete scrubbing. If that doesn’t do it…
Frankly, I don’t know what I’ll do. No one will tell me when we will run out of nursing safe antibiotic options. I guess maybe I’ll just have to be sick until this baby is weaned if that happens. One of the nurses told me today that an employee in their office had recurrent strep recently and ended up having her tonsils out. Yeah, I don’t have my tonsils anymore. I had that problem my sophomore year of high school, and that was quite a while ago.
Here’s hoping and praying that next time you need an antibiotic it works for you…

Oh no – Antibiotic-resistant strep! Strep is going around kiddo’s daycare so I’ve been reading about it…did you know that it causes scarlet fever? Ooops, I guess that’s not very comforting. I’m sending get-well vibes your way and hope you feel better soon!

Seems to me that your sister used to do the same thing. Feel better!
